1. MyMoMe home page
"Home" is your starting point for most of your activities. You can always get here by clicking on the MyMoMe logo on top of the screen.
- input text,
- upload pictures,
- videos or links.
What is happening around your memories and friends.
Create new memory out of your content.
Create a collage with your content and graphics from themes like love, music or other.
2. The Mobile
Content from the mobile (pictures and videos)
Send in pictures and videos directly from the mobile to your account on MyMoMe. The only thing you need to do is to grab your mobile, create a new entry in the contact list and e.g. call it mymome. Give the contact the e-mail we gave you when you signed up. You can always see what it is by clicking "Use your Mobile" from the front page.
When you have taken a picture or recorded a video just add the new contact as receiver when sending it (as an MMS). It only costs you your normal MMS/data fee to your own operator.
3. Content
The first thing to do on MyMoMe is to create content which you either save for later, or use now for creating memories or collages from. You can either upload content from the mobile as described before, or you can do it by using the different input options from your home page.
This guide makes it easy for you to figure out how and why. We are going to do an example of where we create a memory of a concert with U2 we pretend to have been at.
Messages
The first thing we do is saving a text message. The idea is that you can save all your sweet, fine, cute and fun text messages that you want to keep in a safe place. Click the "Text" icon from your home page.
Sender is the person that sent you the message. It could of course also just be yourself wanting to write something down to remember. The people you write in here will automatically be saved in the friend list so you always can choose them again in future.
Text is the text you want to save. No magic here, just write! :-)
Involved is the list of people who are involved in the messages. That could be if you are writing about your boy/girl friend. Putting them in here does not mean they can see it. And do not panic- everything on MyMoMe is private as default
Now you have putted in the most basic for saving the text, but for really making good use of MyMoMe, you should also have a look at the right side of the screen. Here you can describe your content a bit deeper.
When it happened is quite easy. Click the date and a calendar shows up.
Emotions is where you describe what you felt when you experienced it. You can choose from our suggestions or create your own. Using emotions means you later easily can choose to see only "happy" or "excited" things.
My memory is about works just like emotions. But here you can label the things with context. In this example we choose "music" because it is a concert we are doing a memory on.
Who can see this. Here you can specifically choose what friends on MyMoMe can see this. You can only pick friends who also have joined MyMoMe or you can choose that it is public and everyone, also people outside MyMoMe can see it. This goes for sharing on Facebook. Again default is "private" so nothing goes wrong.
Picture
If you have pictures on your computer you can upload it to your account here. Just click the "Picture" icon on your home page. You will get to a page where you can choose the file from your computer. Just like when we saved the text message, you can attach emotions, time and labels to it. We actually think you should do it because then it will get much more fun later on when we create a memory.
Video
Just like pictures, videos can come from many places, not only your mobile. Maybe you have found some fun or cool video on YouTube that you want to save with your content.
Simply copy the link from YouTube, Vimeo or another service and paste it into the address field. Press "Add" and we automatically finds the title and video for you. You can also add your own description to it as we have done here. We have again labeled it "music" and given it emotions.
Link
The last form for content you can save is links to other websites, which could be about something you have experienced to tell a more broad story of your memory.
Just like with you just put in the address for the homepage, and we (hopefully) find a title and description for the site. We also might find some pictures which you can use for displaying the link. Try browse through the pictures for finding the best one.
↑ Top4. Create a Memory
Now after we have saved different small parts of content it is time for using the really cool features on MyMoMe. We are about to create a memory of the things we putted in.
Start by clicking "Create new memory".
The first thing you will see when creating a memory is a visual timeline of all your content. If you click your mouse somewhere empty you can move your mouse to move in time.
As you might remember, then we kept telling you to describe your content with emotions, labels and other things. Now you can see why we did this. The picture below looks fine with all content spread out, but for creating our memory on a concert it is a bit messy.
Now we click on the label "music" and only content labeled music appears.
Now you can view all the content that you have putted in that has something to do with music. As you can see there is a picture that is opened up. You can open up content by clicking the small "i" icon that pops up when you move the mouse over the things. You can watch videos, read text messages etc.
To create a memory you simply click the things you want to put into it and it ends in the container at the top of the screen. You can also start by creating a title and description for the memory on the top left side.
When you are done choosing what should be in the memory, you click "Next" on the top right side and you are moving on to the next step where you choose what friends took part of it. Just like involved people on content this does not mean they can see it, we do that in the "visibility" option on next page.
After picking out who took part of the memory we are moving on to the final page of creating the memory. Here you can make sure the title and description is as supposed. You can also state when the memory was and put emotions and labels on it. Mark on a map where it happened, and finally have a look at "visibility". Your memories are going to be much more interesting and fun if you are friends with the ones who can see it on MyMoMe. They will get a notification, and most likely they also took some pictures or have other content they can add to the memory so you get a collaborated memory with the full story of what you experienced.
When you are done click "Save" and your memory shows up in its final form. That is also what the memory looks like for other people if they are invited into it, or if it is published on Facebook for instance. They have a chance to comment on it, or if in the visibility list, they can add in their content
5. Create a Collage
What we like about MyMoMe is that you actually get to use your content for something. We have created a collage editor for you for making posters, invitations or other creative stuff. Just click on "Collages" from your home page to get to the collage page. From here you can see what collages you have made, print them out or publish them to Facebook. You can also choose to create new ones by clicking "Create new Collage"
Click on "f" for sharing on Facebook, or the printer icon for printing.
In the collage editor you get a canvas which represent a normal piece of paper. Here you can add the content you have in your account or you can choose different themes which gives you backgrounds, frames, graphic icons and input text. Create invitations, posters or other creative stuff.
Here you can choose backgrounds, frames, graphic elements and write text.
This is your working area for the collage.
Click on the black bar to show/hide your content.
Click on a piece of content and it shows up on your collage
After saving your collage you can choose either to share it on Facebook, or print it.
↑ Top6. Friends
We will just briefly talk a bit about the friend list on MyMoMe as it is a bit different from what you might be used to on other websites. On MyMoMe the list of friends is both a list of those you are connected to on MyMoMe, but it is also a list of people you over time have putted into memories and content. The idea is that you can have "Mom", "Sister" "My Rabbit" or anything else in here so you can add them to what you are doing without they need to have an account.
You can always invite people from your friend list to join MyMoMe. We of course suggest you do this because it makes it far more fun to do memories together with your friends.
We hope this has helped you, otherwise you can always click on the "Feedback" tab on the right side and we will do our best to help you.
MyMoMe team.
